I got to check out the delicious Valentine's Day goodies at Coco Mill Chocolatier-Staunton! My biology major soul loves the realistic chocolate heart. The snappers are my favorite.

Richard & Bev Engagements
Richard and Bev are getting married! They were troopers, sitting on dirty rocks and freezing in the brisk November weather. Thank you for letting me be apart of your happy day preparations.

Penelope goes to Boxerwood Gardens
I went to test out my new lens today and used my always favorite model. She was not super cooperative. I probably took 75-100 shots and only got a few of her looking up. She was just having too much fun exploring. I learned a lot today, mostly that I LOVE my new lens and what everyone says about kit lens is completely true. WHY BOTHER! I was a little disappointed when I got these on the computer to see the focus was not as sharp as I thought it was but it gave me the opportunity to study up on it tonight. Tomorrow is a new day and I will do better.

Changes
The past few months have been full of changes for little Penelope. She was potty trained in December, and then weaned and moved out of Mommy and Daddy's bed into her own room and big girl bed. She has done so well and dealt with it like a pro. Here is the very important milestone in everyone's life: The potty picture. She this was the first time she went on the big potty by herself. She climb up, got down, grabbed something to read, then got back up and did her business. I love her.
Penelope plays in the snow 2014
A few weeks ago we had what I have been waiting for forever, SNOW! Penelope was so excited. The snow was super wet so I draped my head in a scarf to protect my camera. We had a lot of fun. It snowed here again last night. I just want to go sledding but alas, I have no hill, no sled, and no one to go with except a little girl with sandwich bags under her mittens to keep her hands dry. Here are a couple of the shots from snowfall #1. Please know that the outfit choice was entirely hers.
