It's been a little while

I have had a crazy last year. We moved, lived without internet access for quite a while and my computers are dying. All this has put a damper on my new found love in photography. I just quit taking pictures for a few months because I was frustrated I that I only have my less than impressive kit lens, a beat up HP computer, and only the software that came with my camera for editing. I just wanted to have everything I dreamed of because that would make my pictures better. Well, even though those things would help have all the equipment in the world will not make me anything more than a noob with no money. So, I started up again. I haven't been able to share really because of the whole internet access problem but I am back and ready to learn! I have been scouring photography tutorials and practicing. I feel like I am finally starting to understand the basics of editing and most importantly, I have my excitement back. It truly is all about the journey and the person you become as you travel through the not so perfect times. Thank you all for taking the time to look and give feedback. I also appreciate any recommendations on where to learn more. It is going to be a great year and I am excited to share it with you!

Lights Out

It snowed here and our power went out. Luckily, Mama Skinner (Justin's Mom) bought us a huge set of flash lights for Christmas including these nifty headlamps. Justin made quick use of them. Penelope is not a fan.

Bare Necessities

I know, I know. I have been MIA for a while. I am still practicing but my computer ran out of room for all my lovely practice. I am now back up and running! I will back track and fill in my gaps over the weekend. Here is how bath time went after a delicious bowl of oatmeal. Not only did she eat it with her mouth but also her skin and forehead.

In the Quiet Misty Morning

I am a crossing guard and every school day at 7:30am I leave my home rain or shine, sleet or snow, foggy or clear. xz
